History

  • 1922 - Heintz & Weber Co., Inc. was founded at the Broadway Market by Joseph C. Weber and John Heintz.
  • 1926 - Heintz was bought out by Weber
  • Late 1930s - Heintz & Weber Co. moved to facility on Louisiana Street
  • 1984 - Mr. Weber left control of the company to his granddaughters, Suzanne and Laura Weimer, upon his death
  • 1997 - Suzanne and husband Steven Desmond took control of the day-to-day operations while Laura Weimer Perino remained the majority co-owner and a member of the Board of Directors

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • 2002 - Weber's moves to a 12,500 sq.ft. facility on Redding Street and sells its Louisiana Street location to its neighbor, Morgan Linen Services. The factory was promptly demolished for a surface lot.
