History

  • 1915 - Constructed as Jubilee Library, with library space in front and a 60'x60' gymnasium in rear. Buffalo Courier, June 27, 1915, p. 75
  • Later used as Jubilee Community Center.
  • 2005 - City of Buffalo sells building to Charlie Leone's Endless Enterprises, LLC.
  • Occupied by Gothic City Architectural Antiques.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • September 2022 - Endless Enterprises sells 1932 Niagara and 1940 Niagara to Niagara Street, LLC.
  • Investment team led by Amherst Supervisor Brian Kulpa and attorney Corey Hogan proposes $10 million commercial project at 1932, 1940 and 1962 Niagara. 1932 Niagara would be renovated into an athletic center. Buffalo Business First

Other Pertinent Facts

  • The City of Buffalo sold the old Jubilee Waterworks land on Delaware Avenue for $45,000 to pay for the library's construction. Buffalo Courier

  • Original address was 1936 Niagara Street.
